Right, so the Jimmy is for sale (see below), and I’ve bought a 1992 BMW 325i 4dr 5sp that’s in Boston. I’m flying up Monday to pick up the car and drive it 1,250 miles back home by way of Buffalo where I’m meeting Ed Saki to pick up some parts for my EX500. Hopefully I’ll have that bike built back up in the next month or two.
In other good news, I got to pick up the Jag from the shop today. It’s a 1986 Jaguar XJ6 sedan. New transmission seems to shift good; the engine is running a bit rough since it has sat idle for over a year now. It needs a new battery, master cylinder, and some work on the steering, which I think is far too loose. At any rate, I’m glad to have it back, and look forward to getting it back on the road.Tag: jaguar
“The best looking Jaguar XJ12 Coupe in the world”
Beautiful. I’d love to end up with the ’86 XJ6 looking anywhere close to that good.
Laws for British Sports Cars
While looking for information on my grandfather’s 1986 Jaguar XJ6, I found…
Laws for British Sports Cars I think the same is true for ALL older British cars. Nothing beats their style, but mechanically this Jaguar is a nightmare.
